Applications of sub-nanosecond DPSS lasers in 2PA cross-section measurements (Post-Doc)


Standa Ltd. was founded in Vilnius, Lithuania in 1987 and now has more than 100 employees working at the company. Standa has it’s own industrial base that includes CNC turning, milling, grinding machines. Standa’s design department, while developing standard products presented in Standa’s catalogue (such as motorized and manual translation and rotation stages, motion controllers, optical tables, vibration isolation systems, optical mounts and holders, optics, dpss lasers and etc.) also develops the equipment for OEM customers. Some examples of it, after the agreement with OEM customers, are shown on this website. Standa currently has several laser product development laboratories.

In 2012-2013 Standa will continue their development and production of diode pumped lasers. Standa has a highly skilled marketing team assisting you to make the correct choice of Standa products and together with our OEM customers, create the products you require containing mechanics, optics and lasers. Standa products are distributed to more than 60 countries and represented by more than 25 companies worldwide. Many of our products emerge from close relationship and conversation with our customers. We hope you can also realize your ideas in our new products.

Mission:
EU project TOPBIO, duration 1 year. The project will focus on practical aspects of accurate measurements of absolute two-photon absorption cross-section. The use of new lasers and new optical setups will be investigated in this regard. Skills to be acquired: practical aspects of work with lasers and optical systems, advanced two-photon absorption cross section measurements.

Candidates profile:
Must be post graduate. Must either be in possession o fa doctoral degree or have at least four years of full-time equivalent research experience. In both cases must have less than 5 years of full time equivalent research experience. Must not have resided or carried out their main activity in Lithuania for more than 12 months in the last three years.
