This Open Symposium was the final event organized within the framework of the « TOPBIO » EU-FP7 ITN project.
This multidisciplinary event took place on October 7-8-9-10, 2014 at the Agora Haut Carré conference center of the University of Bordeaux.
It was addressed to all photosciences researchers and students in the field of multiphoton absoptions.
The final event started on the 7th October evening with a welcome cocktail. The two and half days were made of 26 oral communications. The TOPBIO’s members presented their research results within the project. 5 national and internationally renowned invited speakers illustrated innovations and recent advances in the field of two-photon absorption for biomedical applications. They spoke about the many facets of this issue which lies at the interface between chemistry (organic synthesis, physical chemistry, and spectroscopy), physics, biology and nanotechnology. During lunches session posters was done by the ESRs/ERs and external students.
More than 50 participants were registered for the event from 12 nationalities and 22 different institutions which generated success and enthusiasm among the attendees. The event was closed with a Gala dinner at château Haut-Bailly in Léognan.
